Libby Banks (she/they) currently lives in her home town of Bryan, Texas and is excited to provide individual therapy services to anyone across the state of Texas ages 14 and up.
Libby has six years of counseling experience and has expertise in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance use disorders. They are a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) and have extensive experience in providing clients with support in medication assisted treatment programs.
As an Autistic person, Libby’s treatment is embedded in a philosophy of affirming care that respects neuro-diversity and differences. She has a particular affinity for providing services to LGBTQ+ teens.
Libby states that therapy allows us to do “safe experiments.” You can say things to your therapist that you might not be able to say to someone else in your life because the stakes are so different. Therapy is a wonderful place for discovery!
On a personal note, Libby enjoys reading, watching movies, playing board games, and hanging out with her silly dog, Mabel. Come visit them over telehealth!
